There are more things in heaven and earth Horatio,
Than are Dreamt of, in your philosophy.
    Hamlet (1.5.167-8) [Hamlet to Horatio]

The above is one of my favourite Shakespeare quotes. So much so that I even looked it up in two digitised versions of the first edition (1603) available on the Internet.

For the version available at the Internet Archive, it is on page 24 whereas for the copy owned by the Henry E. Huntington Library it is on page 20. The quote runs on the 7th and 6th lines starting from the bottom of the page, should you be interested in checking the quote for yourself.

I consider the above quote as an invitation to suspend our natural tendency to reject that which is seemingly so extraordinary that we can only deem it to be untrue.

On the first of April 2019 (so two years ago), some news headline prompted me to run a few searches first on the Internet (https://www.searx.me/?q=Russian%20mind-controlled%20weapon&categories=general&language=en-US), then on Russia Today (RT.com) in connection with mind-controlled weapons. Here are some of the articles I retrieved (but with no hyperlinks as I do not wish to go through the tedious process of inserting them for each article URL listed below; also please note that some articles came out several times in the results and that I did not bother to remove duplicates or ‘triplicates’):

Some of the above technologies are indeed very frightening, especially those whose effects take place on a plane other than the physical. Of course, it remains to be seen whether such technologies are real or even ‘deployable and operational’ from a military perspective as opposed to being mere elements of psychological warfare. My own take is that some of these technologies are even likely to be at a far more advanced stage than hinted at by some of the above headlines because counter weapons can only be designed in response to weapons known to exist, so a bit in line with the advice ‘to keep one’s cards close to one’s chest’. Now the purpose of this entry was only to serve as a prelude to a future entry about one such very spooky technology: remote mind control.
